Christmas Day lunch in Bournemouth costs £56.95 to £120 a head at nine hotels and pubs, £155 to £180 at Mudeford. 2026 prices, child rates and deposits.

For Christmas Day in Bournemouth, the menus most people will find are in the clifftop hotels: the Cumberland (£120 a head), Hotel Miramar (£106) and Arbor at the Green House (£99) on the East Cliff, and Brasserie Blanc in the Highcliff Marriott on the West Cliff (£115). The lowest Christmas Day prices are £74.99 at the two Toby Carverys and £56.95 for the carvery at Marsham Court. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 1 November 2026.

We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the price on the venue’s own 2026 Christmas page or menu, what it includes and what it says about deposits and booking, plus its Food Standards Agency (FSA) hygiene rating. Prices are per person and exclude any service charge unless we say otherwise. Christmas Day 2026 is a Friday.

Some places have already sold out. The Greene King pubs the Westbourne on Poole Road and the Cranleigh both say on their Christmas Day pages that they are fully booked, so they are not listed below. The last two entries serve festive menus in December but publish no Christmas Day sitting.

Clifftop hotels on the East Cliff

1. The Cumberland Hotel, East Overcliff Drive

The Cumberland is the clifftop hotel on East Overcliff Drive run by Oceana Hotels, with the Ventana Grand Café and Mirabelle Restaurant. Its Christmas Day lunch on 25 December 2026 is a three-course menu put together by head chef Jhouie, starting with “a glass of bubbles and an exquisite amuse bouche”.

It costs £120 an adult and £60 a child, with a £23 price for under-10s. Bookings go through the sales team by phone or email rather than online.

The hotel also runs a Boxing Day buffet lunch and a New Year’s Eve buffet and gala dinner.

2. Hotel Miramar, Grove Road

Hotel Miramar is the East Cliff hotel with its Restaurant No 43 and the Ocean Bar and Terrace. Its 2026 Christmas Day menu runs to five courses: an amuse bouche, then ham hock terrine, roasted parsnip soup or smoked mackerel pâté; a mango and strawberry sorbet; turkey ballotine rolled in Parma ham, beef fillet mignon, Atlantic hake or a butternut squash and beetroot gnocchi; and apple and rhubarb crumble, Christmas sticky toffee pudding or a chocolate mousse to finish.

Adults pay £106 and children aged 4 to 14 pay £46. Bookings go through the sales team.

3. Arbor at the Green House, Grove Road

Arbor is the restaurant in the Green House, the hotel on Grove Road that calls itself the “greenest hotel in the UK”. Arbor’s Christmas Day lunch is £99 a head with a glass of Prosecco on arrival.

The 2026 menu lists five courses: celeriac and truffle soup with a Dorset Blue Vinny arancini, a hand-dived scallop with confit chicken winglet and Stornoway black pudding, roast Norfolk Bronze turkey with a slow-cooked thigh and pigs in blankets, a black cherry Bakewell, then Isle of Wight Blue and a warm cheese scone. There is a vegan alternative at each course.

The hotel’s own Christmas page describes the lunch as six courses and says advance booking is essential.

4. Marsham Court Hotel, Russell-Cotes Road

Marsham Court is the hotel on Russell-Cotes Road, near the Russell-Cotes museum, and it offers two ways to spend the day. Christmas Day in the Plantation Restaurant is £86.95 a head with entertainment from Richard Pearce, and a menu running from duck, pistachio and sour cherry terrine to turkey and gammon, beef bourguignon or salmon with hollandaise, then Christmas pudding or a trio of Dorset cheeses.

The Christmas Day carvery is £56.95 an adult and £41.95 a child (12 and under), and includes a visit from Santa and a gift for the children. Festive evenings with entertainment are £39.95 on set dates in the hotel’s brochure.

West Cliff and the town centre

5. Brasserie Blanc, Highcliff Marriott

Brasserie Blanc is Raymond Blanc’s French brasserie chain, with its Bournemouth branch inside the Highcliff Marriott on St Michael’s Road. Its Christmas Day feast is five courses for £115 a head, starting with a glass of Buck’s Fizz, with filet de boeuf, darne de flétan (halibut) and a traditional roast turkey among the dishes.

Children 12 and under pay £57.50. Christmas Day bookings need a £75 a head deposit.

Before the day, the Christmas party menu is £34 for two courses or £43.50 for three.

6. The Sun, Exeter Road

The Sun is the pub at the bottom of Exeter Road, near the Bournemouth Pier approach. Its own site lists Christmas Day hours of 12pm to 6pm and says a Christmas Day booking needs a £25 a head deposit, with the balance and a full pre-order due by 1 December.

The pub’s site does not print the Christmas Day price in a form we could read; the listing on DesignMyNight gives a five-course meal at £90 a head, or £96.50 with a glass of prosecco. Check the price when you book.

Southbourne

7. The Commodore, Southbourne Overcliff Drive

The Commodore is the Greene King pub and hotel on the clifftop at Southbourne. Its Christmas Day menu is three courses for £77.95: starters include smoked salmon on ciabatta and a twice-baked cheddar soufflé, mains are hand-carved turkey, a salmon and prawn Wellington, a cheddar, Double Gloucester and leek pie or surf and turf with an 8oz sirloin, and there is a children’s Christmas Day menu.

A £10 deposit a head (adults and children) secures the table, menu choices are pre-ordered, and payment in full is due by 1 December 2026. Deposits are non-refundable.

8. Toby Carvery Cooper Dean, Castle Lane East

Toby Carvery Cooper Dean is on Castle Lane East, near the Cooper Dean roundabout and the hospital. Christmas Day dining is £74.99 a head with “our famous carvery at the heart of it”.

In the run-up, the Christmas festive menu is from £15.99 Monday to Friday, £17.99 on Saturdays and £20.99 on Sundays. The chain says a deposit may be needed at the time of booking.

Toby Carvery Northbourne is in the Old Vicarage on Wimborne Road, at the north end of Bournemouth towards Ferndown. It charges the same £74.99 for Christmas Day as Cooper Dean.

Its festive menu before the day is slightly dearer: from £16.29 Monday to Friday, £18.29 on Saturdays and £21.29 on Sundays.

Just over the border: Mudeford

10. Harbour Hotel Christchurch, Mudeford

Harbour Hotel Christchurch sits on the water at Mudeford, with two restaurants, The Jetty and Upper Deck. The Jetty’s Christmas Day menu is £180 a head and £80 for children; Upper Deck’s Christmas Day lunch is £155, served from 12pm to 4.30pm.

Both restaurants also publish Boxing Day menus (£70 at The Jetty, £55 at Upper Deck), and Upper Deck has a festive menu from £27.50 from 23 November.

Festive menus before the day

11. Urban Reef, Boscombe

Urban Reef is the beachfront kitchen, bar and beach club on Undercliff Drive, part of the Boathouse Group, open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its December Christmas set menu, built for big tables, is £28.50 for two courses or £36.50 for three: king prawn diavolo or French onion soup to start, then traditional turkey with pigs in blankets, slow-braised short rib (£5 supplement), a Goan fish curry or a smoked tofu and squash curry, and Christmas pudding or sticky toffee pudding.

A 12.5% discretionary service charge is added. Its site does not list a Christmas Day sitting.

12. Cosy Club, Old Christchurch Road

Cosy Club is the bar and restaurant chain’s Bournemouth branch on Old Christchurch Road in the town centre. Its festive set menu runs from 18 November to Christmas Eve, with three courses from £29.95: sharing starters for the table, a choice of main and a pudding.

The regular autumn and winter menu stays on through the season. Cosy Club does not publish a Christmas Day menu for Bournemouth.

We started from the hotels, pubs and restaurants people search for at Christmas in Bournemouth and in our Bournemouth directory, opened each venue’s own Christmas page, and kept those that publish a 2026 price. Prices come from the venues’ own pages and menu PDFs; the only exception is The Sun, where the price is from its DesignMyNight listing and we say so. Hygiene ratings come from the FSA register (BCP Council inspects all of these), and every place here is rated 5. Several M&B pubs in the area, including the Harvesters and Miller and Carter, load their Christmas prices in a way we could not read, so they are not listed. Prices and dishes can change, so check with the venue before you book.
